Bawburgh is a picturesque village, about 5 miles from Norwich. It has a thriving community and the Village Hall is at the centre of many varied activities such as quiz nights, coffee mornings and social evenings. Bawburgh has a Youth Club, Toddler Group, School, and a Public House, the King's Head, which serves excellent food and provides limited accommodation. The Community Car Service enables those residents without transport to attend hospital, doctor and dentist appointments, and is there for collection of prescriptions if necessary.  If you rely on oil for your central heating, then the Little Melton Oil Economy Group provides a way of reducing those bills.

The local monthly magazine, Bawburgh News, provides all up to date information on events going on in the village, from dates of collection of dustbins, to annual events such as the Summer Fete and Duck Race, the New Year's Day Dip and Saint Walstan Day. There is a bi-annual Open Gardens Event.
