Bawburgh Village

Bawburgh Photography Competition Launched by the Village Hall Committee

The competition runs from the New Year until October 2018 - with an exhibition of the work in the Village Hall from the end of Summer until November including Bonfire Night - with the winners for each category announced on Bonfire Night. The winners will have their pictures framed and hung in the Village Hall - also getting a prize to be announced at a later date.

There may also be an option to make a calendar at the end of the year with the winners and runners up. The idea is to gather some lovely images of our fabulous village to decorate the Village Hall taken by the local community, proceeds going to the Village Hall and local charities.

There are three categories with 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each group plus a children's competition.

  1. Bawburgh Duck Race - best picture
  2. Bawburgh Village - best picture
  3. Bawburgh Miscellaneous (this can be a character, an arty shot or something that signifies Bawburgh in some way).
  4. The Children's category - Best Bawburgh Picture of any of the above.

Only two images per person are permitted to be entered. They'll be judged by a panel of local artists in November.

Competitors are requested to send their images to Zena Calton at zenacalton@mac.com throughout the year, along with their full name, address, telephone number, e-mail and image title.

The competition is only open to Bawburgh residents and children of Bawburgh School or members of the youth club.
